At Math Reach FL, we believe every child can succeed in mathematics. Our free and low-cost programs are designed to meet students where they are and help them develop the skills and confidence they need to thrive.
Our Programs
Math Outdoors Program
What: Small-group outdoor math lessons focused on lowering math anxiety and improving well being
When: Wednesdays during the school year 5-7 pm
Who: Students 10-13 years old
Cost: Sliding-scale fees based on family income—no child is turned away due to inability to pay.
Your child may benefit from Math Outdoors if they:
- learn best through movement and hands-on experiences;
- enjoy exploring and investigating;
- need to see how mathematics connects with everyday life;
- benefit from learning mathematics outside a traditional classroom setting.
Competition Math Program
What: Kangaroo math lessons develop creative problem-solving, logical reasoning, and mathematical confidence.
When: September through May
Who: Elementary and middle school students looking to stay sharp
Cost: Sliding-scale fees—financial need is never a barrier
Your child may enjoy Competition Math if they:
- enjoy puzzles and challenging problems;
- like finding different ways to solve a problem;
- are ready for mathematical enrichment beyond the regular curriculum;
- want to develop reasoning, perseverance, and problem-solving skills.
Is Math Reach FL Right for My Child?
There is no single “Math Reach FL student.” Some children come to us because mathematics has become frustrating or difficult. Others need to rebuild foundational understanding, while some are ready for greater challenge and enrichment. Our goal is to understand where your child is mathematically and provide an experience that meets them there.
Mathematics Through Experience
Students build understanding through manipulatives, visual models, games, investigations, movement, discussion, and real-world problem-solving.

What Parents Can Expect
Small groups and individual attention
Our programs use intentionally small groups so instructors can observe how students think, respond to misconceptions, and provide appropriate challenge or support.
Understanding before memorization
We want students to understand why mathematics works. Students use manipulatives, visual representations, discussion, problem-solving, and real-world experiences to build mathematical meaning.
Challenge without pressure
Whether a child needs intervention or enrichment, learning should provide an appropriate level of challenge without making mathematics a source of unnecessary anxiety.
Mathematics beyond worksheets
Students learn mathematics by building, measuring, investigating, discussing, playing mathematical games, solving problems, and making connections—not simply completing pages of exercises.
